dipity. press Reasons to... Evolve [Poetry Chapbook]
release of chapbook no. 1 and a few other announcements
Congrats to Emma Louise Wells on her latest chapbook release Reasons to… Evolve! Our very first chapbook in the new Dipity Press series! You may notice its new illustrated cover! You can purchase it via the U.S.-based print store or through the Great British Bookshop. I decided to have both printer locations do matte-based lighter covers so they are not glossy and reflective plus the thickness is bumped up a tad in the bookshop version. The Amazon Kindle eBook (digital) version should be available again very soon within the next week or so!
Remember on the “Chappies” website section https://www.dipitylitmag.com/chappies you can make an additional “support poet” writer donation via the button directly to Emma too!
WHAT’S AHEAD
We have an upcoming NEW 3rd spoken word release on the fairly new dipity. productions channel on its way! Give it a follow on Spotify, YouTube, iHeart, or elsewhere to be alerted when it’s out! Right now you can hear Eartha Davis’s “Anam Cara” spoken soundtrack and Dana Kinsey’s “MANifesto” spoken word piece. We’re gradually growing this spoken word channel. If you’re interested, check out the guidelines to submit!
A reminder that you can also submit spoken word to the Hummingbird Blink podcast! Our guidelines are different between the two channels so read carefully.
We will be announcing the winner of the Symphonic Challenge in the upcoming months as soon as we can (not all acceptances have been published yet)! And may be adding one more new reader volunteer to our team soon.
Not all chapbook submissions have been processed quite yet, but our volunteer staff is getting there as they go through rounds of review.
We have to branch out chapbook releases due to tight budgetary constraints. I think we may try to incorporate photography and comic art or illustrations potentially in the interior of some in the future.
Also, just a reminder that we do NOT accept previously published pieces in this chapbook series.
P.S. Please vote below to possibly help us determine the theme of issue no. 5 much later in the year (or once chapbooks are settled) this may carry into the following. No guarantees we’ll stick to the poll, but will use it to help decide.
We appreciate anyone who takes the time to comment, subscribe here, pledge support to our Substack, or donates directly to help fund future community projects at the bottom right-hand corner of our site’s new GiveButter footer campaign here.
